How to Share Your Google Maps Live Location.
To always be on your safety radar with your loved ones, they need to be able to share their live location from Google Maps. Please inform your loved ones to do the following first and share their live location.
(Open Google Map)
- Tap the profile photo in the top right-hand corner.
- From the menu, select “location sharing.”
- Tap on “Share Location” and select a contact.
- Tell them to select the right contact linked to your correct number.
- You can choose the tracking duration from the drop box.
- You then get an email that the contact has shared their live location.
- The email contains a link to which you can track the person “live” by clicking on Google Maps.
Please note that Google Maps is automatically launched when you click the link in the email sent from Google appraising you about a
“live” share from your loved ones.
You can also add the location where you wish to be informed once they reach it.
