The hacker reportedly responsible for the GTA 6 leak sold the GTA 5-City Code before he was arrested, it was claimed. While the Police in London confirmed the arrest of the 17-year-old hacker immediately after leaked private data from Rockstar Games, evidence shows they were able to sell GTA 5s code through Telegram before they were detained.

GTA 5 source code sold on the Internet by an entrant from the GTA 6 hacker.

The GTA 6 leaker took to the WhatsApp app Telegram in order to make sense of GTA five’s source code, with an admin in the private group that was sold sharing what is called an censored screenshot of the sold content (Reddit, via GameRevolution). The admin claims that the hacker named teapot used the group to sell the GTA 5 source code the day after the Geset 6 leaks went live, and that they found a buyer. If we sell the code now, there’s something for the buyer.

According to a screenshot of a message from the admin, the Telegram group is the only group where the leaker spoke, and he gathered the gta 5 source code to sell the leaker, adding that the leaker made sure that the leaker sold it before being arrested.

The GTA 6 hack is believed to be a work of Lapsus$, and Uber was also the target of similar attacks. Since March 2022, at least seven Lapsus$ members in the United States were arrested because of a series of similar attacks against Samsung, Nvidia, and Microsoft.
